This project will provide the necessary infrastructure so that people can travel in their Hydrogen fuelled cars the length of the state and be able to refuel on the way.

Also confirmed for the event is Washington based 'Smiths Electric Vehicles' who will be presenting their experiences and views of the future on electricity as a fuel for vehicles. SEV are the world's leading manufacturer of zero emission vans and trucks.

The organisers are delighted that Mike Chapman of UKLPG will attend the event to highlight LPG and to present information and his experiences on developing LPG as a vehicle fuel.

There is a move in environmental monitoring to a progressively more holistic approach providing spatially and temporally distributed data. The key requirements to allow this are:

· Intelligent platforms for management and analysis of massive data sets

One sector with a significant interest in developing integrated instrumentation systems is the field of monitoring of air pollutants. This includes both atmospheric (ambient air) monitoring and source monitoring of point and fugitive emissions. There is a growing need for such systems for research, planning, regulatory, audit (carbon trading) and health purposes.

When a product is manufactured, the history of the components is controlled and can be traced all the way back to the raw material state. Even the raw material will have been produced and refined under controlled circumstances. This traceability allied to consistent and repetitive proven manufacturing procedures allows a high degree of confidence in the integrity and fitness-for-purpose of the product.

Within a remanufacturing routine, however, the history and conditions of service of the product during its first life can often be an unknown quantity and for this reason emphasis on effective test and inspection techniques is required.
